OK, so it's not headline news for the big bad world out there but down here in a small corner of Wexford the appearance of frog spawn in our new pond dug out a year ago is pretty exciting. I believe that once they grow legs and get moving they eat each other if no other meat is on offer. With this in mind, we plan to dangle a fresh piece of meat on a string into the pond as Google wisdom says it will stop the little guys becoming cannibals.
